2018 Fairfield Youth Flag Football Parents,
The FYF would like to welcome all past and future players and parents to the fall 2018 Flag Football Program. As you may have heard it is an exciting year with our new Football and Cheer program with the Wildcats and Giants programs uniting. One Town, One Team is the motto as we begin a new era!
The Flag program was implemented in order to offer boys and girls K-6, the opportunity to learn the game of football and to have fun!
The Flag program is excited to continue to grow in the town of Fairfield. We will be fielding 4 divisions this year; Kindergarten Clinics and Scrimmage, 1st and 2nd Grade Division, 3rd and 4th Grade Division and 5th and 6th Grade Division. The goal for the year is to play an In-house season (all games played at Sullivan Field) with playoff Jamboree following the conclusion of the regular season. The season will begin on September 8th. All games will be played on Fridaynights or weekends and there will be a 1 hour practice each week. Similar to years past we will be using the NFL jerseys, flags and balls which is yours to keep at the end of the season.
Due to the size of the league we urge you to register as soon as possible so we can have a better understanding of how many teams in each division we will have. REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AS OF AUGUST 31st FOR ALL DIVISIONS. Please register by August 15th to avoid an increase in the registration fee!
During the registration process there is also an opportunity to volunteer to help coach. We are always looking for more coaches so if you are interested in being a head coach or an assistant please select that as well. We will be having a Coaches Informational Meeting the evening of Wednesday August 22nd and would request anyone that can attend join us!
On behalf of FYF and the Flag Committee we would like to thank you for choosing Fairfield Youth Football and Flag specifically. We understand there are many extracurricular activities from which to choose. We look forward on making 2018 a great season for players and their families. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email the Brendan Sullivan at webmaster
